Portal configuration

Settings hold the portal identity and the default rules customers experience.

Set these before adding a large content structure so titles, language, reminders, and customer routes are consistent.

The Settings page controls the basic portal setup. Here you can upload a logo, set the portal title and description, set the notification email, choose the default language, manage workflow translation tabs, configure appointment reminders, allow appointment changes, show a portal-wide notification, configure communication settings, and set advanced standalone appointment URLs.

Project settings can override the online appointment change rules for that project. Keep the portal value as the normal default, and only override a project when that specific project needs a different change window or minimum booking notice.

Important Settings

Communication

Use Communication when the portal should send customer emails from a custom SMTP sender instead of the Sparki default sender. Enter the SMTP host, port, username, password, and secure-mode setting, then save.

After saving, choose Send test. Sparki sends a real verification email through the selected sender setup and updates the status to Succeeded or Failed. A succeeded status means the mail transport accepted the test message; it does not prove that every recipient inbox delivered it.

If custom SMTP is not enabled, Send test verifies the default Sparki sender for this portal. Failed tests show a sanitized failure reason so you can fix the provider settings without exposing SMTP secrets.

Plan and Role Notes

Standalone appointment URLs are a Pro feature. Members need Edit portal settings to change Settings.
